France has declared a national state of emergency and has closed its borders after scores of people were killed in multiple gun and bomb attacks in Paris.

At least 100 people are reported to have died at the Bataclan concert hall in central Paris.

Gunmen took many hostages there before being overpowered when police stormed the building.

Others died in a reported suicide blast near the Stade de France and gun attacks on city centre restaurants.

Paris residents have been asked to stay indoors and about 1,500 military personnel are being deployed across the city.

The death toll has risen to 140 in a series of attacks in Paris.

About 100 people were killed in the Bataclan concert hall in central Paris and 40 others have died in other locations in and around Paris in a militant attack, an official at Paris City hall said.

В общей сложности 153 человек погибли в терактах в Париже

Об этом сегодня сообщает телеканал CNN со ссылкой на представителей французских властей.

При этом уточняется, что 112 из них погибли в концертном зале «Батаклан».

Серия терактов произошла в Париже в пятницу вечером с использованием автоматов и  взрывных устройств. В концертном зале «Батаклан», где на концерт рок-музыки собрались 1,5 тыс. человек, были захвачены заложники, передает ТАСС. Режим чрезвычайного положения во  Франции вступил в силу на всей территории страны. Об этом говорится в коммюнике Елисейского дворца по итогам заседания Совета министров. «Декрет о введении чрезвычайного положения был одобрен. Он незамедлительно вступает в силу на всей территории Франции /метрополия и Корсика/», — говорится в документе.
