Darkness and smells fill the air. The sun is setting and the smell of pancakes fills the air. It is one of my favorite smells. These pancakes are special for Hanukkah.

Time to light the Hanukia I say to myself. I take the matches from the cupboard to light the candles on the Hanukia. I light the last candle. The hanukia shines silent on the table.

I lay down and wait until next holiday. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
