You can really appreciate the humor, if you were born in one of the Eastern block socialist countries or Communist China and spent at least the first 12 years of your life under the socialist rule.

My assumption is that you already remember something by this age. I have a friend who left the Communist Republic of China when she was 12 - she remembers the details. Younger children, probably, won't.
