Dear Dr. [R]:
I did some research on Lyme disease and co-infection.
At this point, I think that my Lyme infection was caught very early, while Tanya-Ruth had disease in her system for longer. She developed rash – large spots with pale center and red border - all over her legs and arms (and one on her face) around June 24-25. It then turned bluish. It was mistaken for allergic rash and we haven’t asked for doctor’s advice till later (July 8). By then she had random arthritis-like pains and was getting abnormally tired from moderate physical activity. She is taking doxycyline (100 mg x 2 x 21 day) from July 12 per your order.
She complained about right elbow pain - it became stronger over the past few days. She had recent neck pain and stiffness - that is now gone and replaced by sore throat. According to Mass. Gov. Dept. of Public Health, all of the above, including sore throat, could be symptoms of Lyme.
As a parent, I’m concerned with Tanya’s well being and I want to be certain she is completely cured from Lyme disease as to avoid neurological complication associated with later stages. Also, I want to be certain she is free from other tick-borne diseases.

I put some links together just in case you may find them useful. I’ll gladly e-mail you those for the ease of use.
