Special thanks

enot06Something I wanted to do and haven't done this past Sunday -
to toast our friends who help us during hard times and help us to celebrate life and good times.
And since it was a special occasion - Sima turning 4 & his sis turning 18 in April being old news - I wanted to toast 3 people or groups who played a special role in Tanya's future pursuit of happiness:
- Katya Apekina - an artist and Tanya's art teacher for many years (about half of Tanya's 20-piece art portfolio used for college application was produced at Katya's studio - ceramics, drawings)
- Bonny Musinsky, our neighbor who volunteered to consult Tanya on her choice of colleges and the application process above and beyond what Tanya got from her school counselor (Bonny is a professional in this space and we were lucky to causally mention our concerns to her at the right time)

goodwife who arranged the process, P. who delivered the training and Nast who provided home, food and love whole Tanya was working on improving her SAT scores.
Tanya was so sweet to also say thanks to her Dad for helping her with college essays that both me and him still can't resign to our usual state (parents are expected to be either annoying or plain boring and we are embarrassing or the other way around).
And school helped too. I should mention that Tanya wrote 5 "Thank you" letters to her teachers on her own accord.
