Occupy Wall Street - students
Oct. 12th, 2011 01:06 amTanya briefly visited from college, told that some of her college-mates were arrested in NYC while participating in demonstration (well, she talked to them when they were back to school, so I assume they were not kept by NYPD for long) .
Some international exchange students indicated that they would've been there but didn't for the fear of losing their visa status. Since it's not a human rights issue I don't know exactly what's their idea of this protest.
College administration sent e-mail to students suggesting to be careful and stay out of trouble.
Well, of course it's a liberal-liberal arts college and they accept the fact that their students may and will participate.
100 protesters were arrested in Boston last night, etc.
